These Terms of Service apply to quotations, orders and work carried out by EJ Projects KZN ("EJ Projects", "we", "us" or "our"), as well as your use of ejprojects.co.za.
By accepting a quotation or placing an order, you agree to the terms applicable to that project. Your use of the website is also subject to the relevant provisions below.
These terms must be read together with your accepted quotation and any separate written project agreement. Where project-specific terms apply, they will govern the relevant work, subject to applicable South African law.
Unless otherwise stated, quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
Prices are based on the measurements, materials, specifications and site conditions known at the time of quoting. If your requirements change or previously unknown site conditions affect the work, we will explain any proposed changes to the price or scope and obtain your agreement before proceeding with additional chargeable work.
Prices displayed on our website are indicative starting prices and are provided for general guidance. The final price for your project will be set out in your written quotation.
The deposit, balance, payment milestones and payment due dates applicable to your project will be stated in your quotation or written project agreement.
Work will proceed in accordance with the agreed payment arrangements. Any changes to those arrangements must be agreed in writing.
If a payment is overdue, we will contact you to resolve the matter. Any suspension of work, cancellation or recovery of outstanding amounts will be handled in accordance with the applicable agreement and South African law.
To help us complete your project safely and efficiently, you agree to:
If site access, inaccurate information or undisclosed conditions affect the project, the scope, price or schedule may need to be reviewed. We will discuss any necessary changes with you before proceeding with additional chargeable work.
Any commencement or completion dates provided before the project is confirmed are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Weather conditions, material availability, supplier delays, site access, unexpected site conditions and other circumstances beyond our reasonable control may affect the schedule.
If a delay affects your project, we will keep you informed and discuss any necessary adjustments.
5.1 Workmanship Warranty
EJ Projects provides a two-year workmanship warranty from the date of completion, subject to the applicable project agreement and the customer's statutory rights.
This warranty covers defects arising from our installation work, such as defective fixing or flashing, where the issue is attributable to our workmanship.
Where a valid workmanship claim is accepted, we will correct the covered defect at no additional charge.
This warranty does not remove or restrict any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection legislation.
5.2 Roofing Sheet Warranty
White AZ150 IBR roofing sheets supplied for a project carry a supplier warranty of 10 years against corrosion perforation, subject to the supplier's written warranty terms.
This warranty relates to the roofing sheet material and is separate from the EJ Projects workmanship warranty. Coverage, exclusions, claim requirements and available remedies are determined by the applicable supplier warranty.
Where the supplier confirms a covered material defect, the claim will be handled in accordance with the supplier's warranty terms. Depending on those terms, the remedy may include repair, replacement or another specified form of compensation.
Customers should contact EJ Projects for assistance with a roofing sheet warranty claim.
Any extended warranty for installations in particular inland areas will only apply where it has been confirmed in writing by the supplier and expressly applies to the relevant project.
5.3 Other Components
Components supplied by other manufacturers, including motors, fabrics and polycarbonate panels, may be covered by their respective manufacturers' warranties.
The duration, coverage and exclusions of these warranties depend on the applicable manufacturer's terms. Please ask us for the relevant details for your installation.
5.4 Expected Lifespan
Our roofing sheets may have an expected service life of approximately 15 to 20 years, depending on factors such as location, environmental exposure, installation conditions and maintenance.
This is an estimate of expected lifespan, not a guarantee of a specific service life. It is separate from any express warranty.
5.5 Warranty Exclusions
Subject to applicable law and the terms of the relevant warranty, warranty coverage does not extend to:
These exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by the relevant warranty and applicable law. They do not exclude statutory rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Regular cleaning and maintenance help preserve the condition and service life of your roofing sheets and other installed components.
We provide an aftercare guide on completion of your project.
Unless the applicable manufacturer instructions specify otherwise, we recommend the following general aftercare:
Always follow any specific maintenance instructions supplied for your materials or installation.
Damage caused by unsuitable cleaning methods, corrosive substances or a build-up of debris may not be covered by the applicable warranty where the damage falls within a valid exclusion. Each claim is assessed on its own facts after inspection.
If you notice a possible defect or problem with your installation, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Where possible, include photographs, the installation address, the approximate completion date and a description of the issue.
We may need to inspect the structure before determining whether the problem is covered by the workmanship warranty, a supplier warranty or another applicable remedy.
If the claim is covered, we will arrange the remedy applicable under the relevant warranty or agreement. Where a supplier warranty applies, we can assist with the claim process.
Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights or remedies available to you.
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 where applicable.
